Alisha: Hi everyone, and welcome back to NorwegianClass101.com. I'm Alisha.

Alisha: This is Must-Know Norwegian Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 22. In this lesson you'll learn slang words and expressions from Kristiansand.
Alisha: Kristiansand is the beautiful summer city on the southern coast of Norway, and when travelling there it can be good to understand some of the local words.

Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:

Alisha: Patrick, what's our first expression?
Patrick: sukker
Alisha: literally meaning "sugar." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "candy."

Alisha: Use this slang expression when you want some candy.

Alisha: literally meaning "slow pope." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "a slow person, slowpoke."

Alisha: Use this slang expression when someone is falling behind or can't keep up with a group.

Alisha: It doesn’t have a literal meaning. When it's used as a slang expression, it means "very."
