Hello Helen,

In Norwegian we have a specific word for "all the autumn leaves on the ground", which is løv. Maybe the best English translation would be "fallen leaves"? "Et blad" can be used for any one leaf, regardless of the colour or if it is on the tree or not.

Hope this helped!

Best,

Mai

I'm confused! If 'leaf' is 'blad' why is 'leaves' in 'falling leaves' 'løv'?

Hei Michelle,

Ei veldig avansert setning, men veldig få feil. Kjempebra! :)

True in autumn, it is cold and windy, but I always look forward to the autumn equinox, I love looking at the falling leaves and autumn color.
